All I Want For Christmas Is Clothes........ :)

There are so many parties and gatherings at this time of the year! Its is a cheerful time for many but also difficult time for many. I pray everyone is having a blessed Christmas season :)
In this post I'm going to give a few ideas for how to be trendy and beautiful this Christmas!

Color schemes.......
It is not set in stone that you must wear Christmas colors to Christmas parties, but if you do here are a few beautiful ones that are fun to mix and match:
Red and Green (most traditional)
White and Silver
Gold and Red
Black and Gold
Anyways, so those are just a few, but it could give you a start to a perfect outfit for that party coming up!

Fabrics!
Velvets, lace, and satin! These are all elegant and gorgeous, depending on the formality of the party should be the deciding factor for these.

Save!
A lot of the times these outfits are seasonal, and can't be worn through the year (unless you stick with that Little Black dress, which you really can never go wrong with :) so you don't HAVE to run out and buy a dress that's several hundred dollars. I put together an outfit for this post and for some of the parties I will be attending.I bought it at Forever 21, and the accessories (other than the shoes and tights) for 40 dollars! Here is it! The pictures are taken at the Ritz Carlton.

As far as a casual party or look, any kind of combination of a high wasted skirt, top, cardigan, tights and boots go great together.. You never can go wrong with this look this look this season. I hope this post was helpful for you and gave you some inspirations for this Christmas season. Always remember though, your style and personality in your clothes is always better than anything you could ever buy :)
Merry Christmas :)

Lovely accent.

I got this dress at an adorable boutique, http://www.charmingcharlie.com/. I chose that belt because it went with the buttons up the front perfectly, and the boots at a kick to it all. And of course, keys around me neck. <3

Challenge : Find accents in one item and bring them out with another item. ^^^ Like the belt & buttons & boots. <3

Feminine Chic!

This is something I put together after looking through the May Seventeen Magazine, and I saw this outfit:

The basics from in to out:
  • A Cami (if you need or would like one).
  • A dress of sorts, preferably with thin straps.
  • A baby doll top, or something that's tighter on top and loosens toward the bottom.
  • Belt *optional* I wore it to excentuate my waist.*
  • A crop jacket (the model had on a cropped blazer, this would add a more business look to the outfit.)
  • And then I added to the outfit a very long and bulky pendant necklace with chic chain earrings.
  • And of course, my cowboy boots:)

This look all together creates a chic look but

lightens it up a lot with a girly touch.

*cowboy boots take away from the chic style, i just

love them so i wore them, I'd say some

stilettos, flats or sneakers would top this look off for you! :)

be creative!

Girly Cowgirl

I have been inspired so much lately to base my outfits off of one of my passions: Horses! I am a cowgirl at heart... But its good for y'all because the western, prairie, cowgirl look is definitely in right now, and I'm loving it :) So this outfit is something I put together with different pieces from my closet.
I put the links for most of the items, but I don't honestly expect you to go and get every single piece of clothing and duplicate this look exactly. No! Make it yours :)
Here is a list of the types of clothes you can look for to put together and get this similar look, I have linked some websites to them with items I have found and thought would look well for this style.
So what you should look for is:
• A cute sundress
• A flowy tunic, button down top
*If the top has a print on it make the dress solid, or vise versa.
Try to use a solid that is the same color as one of the colors in the printed item.*

• A Cami that also pulls color out of the printed item.
Leather belt
Cowboy boots or any kind of boot that has western accents
• Western style jewelry
What i used :)

Flowy Halter Dress - I found it for $7 on a clearance rack at Forever 21

Floral Crinkle Tunic - Self Esteem

Boots - Ariat
Belt -
Forever 21

Jewelry set - Avon

Never Despise Mere Beginnings...

Hello <3
I am definitely confused on some of this editing of the settings and whatnot... But that will pass soon :)
I am super excited to finally get started with this blog!
I am telling you, its insane how much goes on in my head. I have too many ideas to keep them all in there. It can;t be good for a brain to be so so so packed ;)
OK. So to start out, I'm Lyndsey. I'm about to graduate High - freaking - school ( Praise the Lord). HATE that retched place. Anyways, I'm finally getting to go to school and actually learn what Id like. I am about to start a certificate program in Fashion Marketing, it will take me two semesters, Summer 2010 and Fall 2010... And I will have a Certificate in Fashion Marketing at the age of 17 :) AH. CRAP. My age.. That is something we must discuss... I am only 17. And just turned it at that. I do not like to discuss this issue, not because I do not like who I am, or I am uncomfortable in my skin or anything of that stupidness, but because I have learned that age holds you back, whether you are on the younger or older side of that scale, people tend to put limits on you. And I definitely don't appreciate that to say the least. So I just try to prove them wrong.. Theres more to tell but its not about me so here comes what I'm here for :)
HERE IS WHERE THE IMPORTANT PART STARTS :)
My basic goal for this site is to just help people, and get my ideas out there.
So for example I have a baggy, off one shoulder grey shirt. We ask a few questions:

How many different ways can we wear this?
What would it look best with?
What should you do with it based on your body type?
How can you find it for cheaper or perhaps make it yourself?

Now this may be easy for some, but for others it may be more difficult (and that's totally fine:) that's what I'm here for.
So I plan to post a series of pictures for each blog I do, showing the many different ways you can wear, make, find, and feel beautiful in the clothes around you.
I will take any requests, I want to know what people are wanting to know!!! :D
So cheers to new beginnings! :D
